this permanent journal is a yet untouched gem. i created it in september of 2003 while working for wolfram and hart's pharmaceutical division. i recall that there were many things bothering me at that time. and one of them was being really pissy about livejournal duh-rama. i opened up this account with the intent of finding a way to blog while keeping serenity in my life. not to mention i was giddy about the opportunity to own a permanent blog account (something i didn't at the time have option to over on livejournal.)
but the honest truth is that i wasn't ready to leave there. for whatever reason, i was still far too embroiled with the activity and people on the site. be it good, bad or maybe a little bit of each, i was being fed by livejournal. and although i made my posts locked to friends only, i think i was still looking for an audience to my words. and as much as i needed to be heard i had a need to hear other ideas, experiences, etc.
these days it feels like my head is a little off kilter. sometimes i feel like i'm out there, teetering on the edge of sanity. my emotions are a massive, knotty mess and i may not show it right now, but i'm hurting about a few things. i don't want to be in this place. i need some space to come down from my anxiety, up from my depression and into something better mentally and emotionally. and it's not that my friends have driven me here, but sometimes dealing with the daily happenings on that "other site" is too much for me to handle. i need some distance and a little time. maybe this is the place to find it. |
